About this project
Brain Agent is a private voice assistant. Speak in the browser and it answers aloud about my projects, skills and career, using only what is filed in my notes and refusing to make things up. There is no database: my notes are small enough to load into Gemini every time. It can also save a spoken note. It is being reconnected to my notes after I moved it into its own project.
What I did
- Built the voice loop: the browser's speech recognition, Gemini 2.5 Flash replies streamed live, and spoken answers with free browser voices or ElevenLabs.
- Kept it simple: all notes load into the AI each time, with strict instructions to answer only from them.
- Added note capture: a spoken note is spotted and saved to a dated journal.
- Made it a password-protected app you can install, with safe password checking and memory that lasts between visits.
- Moved it into its own project when the notes folder was limited to text files.
